Learning by leaders
With baseline graduation requirements at school—in subjects like English, Math and Science—career education takes a back set; even advantaged students average only one hour of dedicated career counseling time during their entire time in high school. Learning By Leaders aims to close opportunity gaps in career readiness education, enhance industry awareness and expand job training for youth and young professionals.
Innovators in industry
A healthy workforce relies on the talent of tomorrow… According to recent surveys, local employers have identified skill gaps, shortages and mismatches among workers in key occupations. In the future, we will see the emergence of new industries and the exit of others. Innovators In Industry is a reflective and exploratory program for young people to learn about today’s market, find out where they fit and forecast opportunities for tomorrow’s workforce.
Early entrepreneurs
In the future, the need for entrepreneurs and startups will be abundant. Small businesses are exceptionally vulnerable and financially fragile. Early Entrepreneurs Initiative is an experiential program that empowers youth to learn how to start and sustain their own businesses—igniting young people’s personal passions, creating jobs and building a stronger collective economy. This program is open to teens and college-age adults.
